Our article, written by Yaeger Rolfe, was published in C&IT Magazine May Issue on Page 13 - Have a read and let us know your thoughts!"Before joining the events industry, I worked in construction. It is a sector where new teams of people form constantly from management to site workers, as projects get underway. The pace is so fast that teams rarely get the chance to get to know one another or understand the different skill sets and job roles of those working around them.
Construction isn't the only sector that operates in this way. All industries that employ transient workforces are in dire need of team-building and events strategies. Ice-breakers and team activity challenges would not only improve working relationships but also develop understanding of different personality types, greatly reducing the risk of problems occurring. The majority of onsite problems in construction are born out of lack of communication. At Leapfrog International we offer a team development exercise that helps provide teams with the insight to see how they fit into an overall project.
Events to celebrate design and architecture would lead to greater public appreciation of the world that surrounds us."
Leapfrog International would like to thank Mike Fletcher for his assistance with this article.
